ENCOURAGING PLAYFUL FUN FOR STYLE MAVENS AND REBELLIOUS INGÉNUES, this store avoids traditional planograms and features a fixture approach that’s anything but standard. A mannequin posed defiantly in an enclosed window display calls attention to statement goods in a shadowbox. Inside, the
space implies the brand’s style: found and gathered, yet curated.
The merchandising encourages customers to try things on and be social. Reminiscent of furnishings in a ladies’ boudoir, Parsons tables with deep black bevel-mirror trim are prime spots to gather one’s finds. Pads, bowls and shadowboxes in multiple configurations encourage interaction with the trinkets, as do open multitiered
jewelry cases. Leather, resin and metal baubles are artistically draped on a wood curio chest that conjures images of a traveling salesman.
An ambiance of nuanced glam is inherent in the oversized metallic-brocade pattern wall finish, folding screens finished in hand-rubbed distressed alligator, and faux snakeskin top feature tables.
With a little bit of kitsch and a whole lot of bling, the store is at home in Sin City, where glitz is the rule rather than the exception. Chandeliers with silk shades provide sparkle and diffused light. Antique Venetian-style mirrors add to the sparkle and create an illusion of depth. The shiny baguette white marble tile flooring perimeter contrasts with an overscaled patterned carpet emulating perimeter graphics.
