Surya: Expanded lighting, rug collections
During the winter market season, Surya will showcase a significantly expanded lighting collection, including more than 200 new table, floor, and task lamps in a wide spectrum of styles and price points. Market attendees will be able to explore the company’s growing lighting line in dedicated galleries within the brand’s Atlanta, Dallas, and Las Vegas showrooms.
The newest additions to the line bring the total number of lighting options offered by Surya to more than 550, giving buyers and designers access to an expansive range of distinctive looks for their customers, according to the company.
The new offerings feature looks in carved, etched, and sandblasted glass; natural stone; mixed metals; sculptural ceramic; hand-carved wood; and more. Styles range from natural curiosities and coastal motifs to industrial and rough/refined looks to classic and glam designs.
“We understand that the right lighting has the power to transform a space, and our customers understand that also,” says John Haste, SVP of business development for Surya.
“That’s why our product development team has worked tirelessly this past year to elevate the Surya lighting line to the next level, not only in terms of the diversity of styles and materials we offer, but also the variety of price points. This latest expansion will enable retailers and designers to offer their customers beautiful, trend-forward lighting options for a multitude of spaces, and we’re excited to share the new designs with market attendees.”
The new lamps, along with Surya’s entire lighting line, can be viewed via the brand’s winter 2017 lighting ecatalog. To simplify product selection, the ecatalog opens with a “Latest Introductions” section followed by four sections organized according to lighting style: New Traditional, Casual, Modern, and Classic.
Introduction of rugs
Surya will also introduce at market new rug collections in a range of styles and constructions—from machine-made rugs with an artisan, handcrafted look to hand-knotted designs crafted with luxe materials, such as silk, bamboo silk, and New Zealand wool. New debuts include bright, multicolored looks in both geometric and updated traditional motifs, along with textural designs in warm neutrals and hues that emulate mixed metals, the company states. Eco-friendly designs made of undyed wool will also be shown.
“What’s possible in rug design continues to inspire us everyday to create ever more relevant designs that are so well in tune with home design and color trends,” says Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. “What’s really exciting is that homeowners can get practically any design they want at virtually every price point.
“So with our new machine-made rugs, great “high-end” design is within the reach of more people. Our hand-tufted and hand-knotted rugs continue to evolve with changing and modern color palettes, bringing an updated look and feel to traditional interiors, and providing texture and sophistication to modern environments. We’re committed to ensuring that no one goes without the exact rug they need to fulfill their design dreams and our customers’ vision for their business.”
Market attendees are invited to stop by Surya’s showrooms this winter to see the new introductions. All products displayed will be ready to ship within the winter market season.
