Medallion Retail creates this scalable, sophisticated showcase that shines with elegance. Pairing tone-on-tone white with wintery silver draws shoppers into premium cigar purveyor Davidoff of Geneva’s story — and into the flagship store on Manhattan’s Madison Avenue.
The luxurious concept befits the high-profile locale, on the famed, upscale shopping thoroughfare. Because of extremely heavy foot traffic, maximum exposure was required and delivered via two major front windows displays complemented with six side window displays. Careful balancing of elements and attitude communicates a message that’s both romantic and masculine and breaths life in the brand’s manifesto, “Time is the Ultimate Luxury.” Two- and three-dimensional elements create depth, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in Davidoff’s winter wonderland.
Materials were chosen for clean printability and longevity. Wood, rigid PVC foamboard, acrylic, clings, birch trees, LED lights, and fabricated snow create a rich, tactile, layered environment. LED lights and actual birch trees add sparkle, visual interest, and dimensionality. Rotating, acrylic pedestals highlight product. Using white as the primary color makes the product pop, as well.
The installation was set up in November and is scheduled for take down at the end of January. Scaled down versions are in four locations. Two are in New York City, at Sixth Avenue and 56th Street and in the Brookfield Mall. The others are Atlanta, GA., and Houston, Texas. Detailed, step-by-step instructions with photos and illustrations for store managers ensured a consistent, established look and feel across all locations.
