Pop-Tarts recently put an extra pop into the popup. The popular toaster pastries took over the Kellogg’s NYC restaurant and transformed the space into the Pop-Tarts Cafe.
Nachos, personal pizzas, and burritos were among the menu items offered during the temporary takeover in late February. Everything was served with a sweet topping of branding that infused the interior with logos, multi-colored sprinkles, and references to its Crazy Good marketing campaign. Various flavors were incorporated into the design, as well. Pop-Tarts also teamed up with UberEATS to deliver free Pop-Tarts burritos to some 600 students on six NYC campuses. The late-night study snacks, plus the creative cafe menu, connected with consumers to show how the breakfast pastries can be eaten anytime.
