As the Signature Sponsor of the Northwest Georgia March for Babies, Surya raised $11,300 for the March of Dimes’ research on the prevention of birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
On May 5, Surya employees participated in the 5K walk/run at Dellinger Park in Cartersville, Ga., to raise funds and awareness of the March of Dimes’ initiatives. Leading up to the event, over 200 Surya employees along with friends and family members, donated to multiple fundraisers that included weekly pancake breakfasts, “Change for Change” jars and tote bag sales with proceeds going to the march’s funds.
“We are pleased to partner with the March of Dimes organization again this year,” says Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. “As a recent father, I personally relate to and empathize with parents’ desire for smooth pregnancies and healthy deliveries. The March of Dimes’ research, alongside its assistance to families of children born prematurely or with deficiencies, represents incredibly important work and the Surya family fully supports and encourages it.”
