I mean that sincerely. Retail Environments magazine exists for you. The content is written for you. The photos and graphics are chosen for you. The design and layout are developed for you. And, maybe most importantly, we deliver it to help drive the retail industry toward success, for you.
This is why our annual Readership Survey is so important. With more than 25,000 readers, the annual survey is the best way for us to receive input from the full audience of leaders in our industry. We recently completed the 2017 Readership Survey, and as usual, when you speak, we listen.
First, thank you not only for participating, but also for helping us understand what we are doing well.
Nearly 80% of respondents let us know that you read almost every single issue. We also learned that around 80% of you still value the printed magazine, while some also value reading it in digital formats. Additionally, nearly 65% of you told us Retail Environments is among your most valued publications in retail.
Thank you also for the insights on how we can better serve your needs; it is always our goal to deliver a product that helps you succeed.
Going forward, expect to see more of the illustrative retail photography we have been publishing in Retail Environments, along with a continued focus on case studies and project spotlights. We will also continue to work to deliver the most globally relevant content, with information and examples from countries across the world.
And rest assured, our topical focus will stay aligned with what you value most. We will continue to bring you the newest design trends, store designs, and in-store marketing trends because you told us these topics are of most importance.
As I think about the future for our magazine, I remember something I recently heard from Jo Rossman, who said, “Retail Environments strives to be the thread that ties our global retail industry together.”
