As the trade association focused on enhancing retail environments and experiences, Shop! is committed to providing relevant career-enhancing professional development programs that directly address the needs of our industry. In July, Shop! introduced a new web-based Continuing Education program with the debut of its Sustainability e-learning course.
Two additional e-courses are now available:
Identifying and Quantifying the Lost Opportunities Not Captured by Big Data
Understanding shopper motivations and lost opportunities helps drive action plans to stimulate more shopping trips and increased spending.
This course will teach you to calculate lift metrics, identify shopper decision-making paths, understand how product categories and customer segmentation affect the customer path to purchase, and more.
Neuromarketing: Appealing to the Minds of Your Shoppers…Literally!
Neuromarketing explores how the brain responds to marketing stimuli and how the retail environment triggers and influences buying behavior.
This course will teach you to distinguish between the Thinking Mind and the Doing Mind, understand the significance of shoppers’ temporary and fundamental goals, and use triggers to guide shoppers towards your brand on the path to purchase.
Industry experts carefully craft each course to help participants develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve the performance of their organizations, and provide leadership and service to the industry.

MaRC holders may apply the completed courses towards their triennial recertification requirement. (The Shop! MaRC Program is the industry’s only globally recognized credential that keeps retail individuals current on retail environments and experiences.)
“Shop! is committed to delivering a world-class education program tailored to the needs of our industry and will continue to build new curriculum,” says Steve Weiss, CEO. “Providing practical education for our members and the industry at large is a top strategic goal at Shop!”
