THIS DESIGN’S DYNAMIC, ANGULAR SHAPE AND MINIMAL BRANDING ENCOURAGES CURIOSITY and complements the large public greenspace’s hip aesthetic. With the exception of an ATM, no business is conducted on site, where the bank sponsors a series of diverse events.
The non-corporate vibe also reinforces the design’s intent to be a welcoming presence, not a selling one. Activities include volunteers distributing complimentary giveaways. Portable device chargers bearing the logo, “Powered by Citizens Bank,” are available for guests to borrow.
Resembling a permanent modern art installation, the structure derives inspiration from the greenspace’s colorful logo and artistic-related events. Multicolored seating cubes add an intriguing and approachable allure. A triangular pattern on the kiosk references the same design on the concrete plaza.
Other features include a large digital monitor offering community-related spots, venue information, sports, weather, and entertainment. The monitor’s backlit acrylic glows during evening hours, making it appear the kiosk is open.
During winter months, seating is stored off-site, the canopy retracts, and the digital monitor is covered by a vertical sliding door. The base structure remains, with only the ATM open.
