COMBINING THE ELEGANCE OF A HIGH-END ART GALLERY WITH UPSCALE DINING, this contemporary design thrives within a dramatic frame of sculptures, decorative windows, and backlit walnut slats.
Four distinct zones comprise the 300-seat, two-story space. A black granite portal leads into a lobby where 10- to 16-ft.-tall sculptures—representing a modernistic form of deep-sea vegetation—are lit from above by a sloped skylight.
Lotus-shaped windows—reminiscent of submarine portholes—display the daily fresh catch to guests as they walk into a spacious main dining room. A laser-cut coral sculpture measuring 20 ft. by 10 ft. sits behind a raw seafood bar.
Other design features include wooden screens, intimate booths, and dramatic transitional hallways. Framed traditional landscape paintings and carefully selected objects add authenticity. Using walnut and oak as a backdrop provides a calming, soft aesthetic.
