DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM THE LOOK AND FEEL OF AN ARTIST’S LOFT, this design encourages exploration within a warmly welcoming, immersive environment.
Expressing style and science, the prototype store connects consumers with both the clinic and retail aspects of the space. Portraits and art pieces provide a creative, aspirational vibe. State of the art technology is integrated into the exam rooms, which are not hidden in the back of house but rather designed as an integral part of the customer journey and celebrated as part of the customer experience. Thoughtfully curating frames by style — instead of brand — also caters to the experience of how guests shop for eyewear.
More elements such as bag hooks and phone charging outlets provide ease in shopping. Barstools at the style bar encourage customers to collaborate with stylists, as well as socialize with other consumers.
The store also features two types of display fixtures. The perimeter fixture of cold-rolled steel features a warm finish on a wall of white painted bricks. The central fixtures are solid white oak in a honey finish, backed with illuminated light boxes featuring large-scale graphics.
An interactive, educational children’s area includes mirrors at child height, multi-height stools for children and parents, books, oversize glasses, and other amenities to engage youngsters in the eyewear process. Hexagonal cubbies provide nooks to hide, read, or play.
