The fourth edition of C-star, Shanghai’s International Trade Fair for Solutions and Trends all about Retail, will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 26 to 28 with the motto “Shape the Future of Retail.” The trade fair is expected to attract 150 exhibitors and some 8,000 trade visitors.
C-star is an annual event presenting innovative products and creative solutions from international suppliers, especially for the Chinese market. C-star is organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai), a subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf in Germany, renowned as the organizer of EuroShop — the world’s No. 1 international trade fair for the retail sector.
In view of the dynamic development in retail, C-star 2018 will present a wider product range and optimized structure with six clearly arranged product categories:
- Shopfitting and Store Design
- Retail Technology
- Visual Merchandising
- POP Marketing
- Stand Construction and Event Marketing
Other C-star highlights include the retail technology village, which will present current top technology for retail including innovative payment systems, POS technology, and article surveillance systems. There’s also a brand zone, offering exhibitors an extra platform to showcase their latest store designs, concepts, and smart retail technology.
At the retail forum, representatives from renowned companies, leading mall operators, branded goods outfits, and commercial property will discuss the following topics: “Global Retail Trends,” “Retail Technology and Omnichannel Development,” “Lighting of Commercial Spaces,” “More Consumption Thanks to New Retail,” and “Visual Marketing”. Trade visitors can attend the C-star Retail Forum on all days of the trade fair free of charge and without prior registration.
Another highlight will be the EuroShop Retail Design Awards 2018 (ERDA) ceremony. This award, honoring the world’s best store concepts, will be presented for the 11th time by Messe Düsseldorf together with the EHI Retail Institute.
