SETTING THE SCENE FOR SOLIDARITY AND SUSHI, a solid wood communal table greets guests entering this upscale Japanese restaurant.
Nestled inside a building that dates back to the 18th century, the design merges existing architectural elements with a contemporary dining environment. Exposed brick walls, raw steel panels, and decorative metal ceiling tiles create a raw, rustic feel. Metal seating and shelving add to the mood. Deep emerald upholstery combining with uplighting along the length of the exposed brick wall set a warm, inviting tone.
Using custom metal mesh pendant lights to illuminate the communal table adds a runway effect that points to an art piece of handpainted Japanese brushstrokes on the back wall. Towards the restaurant’s rear there is also a bar with intimate seating.
