A new flagship store with a commuter train-theme is letting coffee drinkers get their java fix at a fixed price.
Fixpresso, in the South Florida city of Coral Gables, charges, $2 per cup. Customers will find the same price also applies to all other menu items including tea, cold beverages, croissants, muffins, brownies, cookies, sandwiches, and a signature frozen coffee drink. Vegetarian and healthy food options are available too.
The café sits in a former Starbucks that’s been remodeled to resemble a subway car.
An official grand opening was held on Aug. 17. As part of the celebration, the first 100 guests in line starting at 7 a.m. received one free Fixpresso coffee per day for a year.
“In 24 hours after the grand opening, we received 97 franchise requests, ranging from Florida to California. Specific locations of interest include Boca, Aventura, Miami Lakes, Fort Lauderdale, Davie, Weston and West Palm Beach,” Founder Scott Deutsch says.
