THIS PROTOTYPE’S MODULAR THEME MERGES FLEXIBILITY WITH DISCOVERY, offering customers a true testing zone within an environment that supports expanded category presentations. The immersive experience transcends the typical luggage store with options and try-before-you-buy experiences, such as an interactive zone simulating an authentic airplane scenario with carry-on luggage sizer, luggage scale, airline seats, and overhead bins. All the airplane components were repurposed from international sources.
Large-format SEG light boxes at the storefront highlight Samsonite’s fashionable, edgy campaigns. Inside, graphic frames that simulate airplane windows on the feature wall and magnetic category signs resembling airplane fins bring authenticity. Associates with iPads offer endless aisle options and shipping services. Floor treatments such as carpet, tile, and an asphalt-like texture flooring provide a realistic setting where shoppers can test the product under various conditions. Designated display areas let customers open and explore the luggage.
A modular perimeter system allows for a variety of shelf configurations that are adaptable to collection sizes and accessories. Modular, large-format SEG frames hanging over the perimeter panels can flex in their positions around the store to communicate promotional campaigns and/or tips for travelers.
Due to the dark coloring of many luggage products, appropriate lighting levels are achieved with track lighting along the perimeter accompanied by adjustable two-head recessed lighting fixtures throughout the store. Perimeter fixture panels with shelving lighting further enhances the product presentation.
