The Planning and Visual Education Partnership (PAVE)’s 2020 GlobalShop Student Design Challenge is now underway. The annual competition brings together top student design talent, industry-leading fixture manufacturers, and retail brands for a truly unique opportunity.
Students on each team, in partnership with a manufacturer, are tasked with developing creative solutions to a client’s real-life design problem. The best designs will then be selected by the participating retailers, built by the manufacturers, and displayed in the PAVE booth (#3403) at RetailX 2020 June 9–11 in Chicago. The student designers behind the winning projects will attend the trade show to present their work in person.
This year’s teams include:
- McRae Imaging, Sheridan College, and Sephora
- Visual Elements, Ontario College of Art & Design University, and Michael Kors
- Bish Creative Display, University of Northern Iowa, and Coca-Cola
- Bernstein Display and the Fashion Institute of Technology
A GlobalShop staple for the past ten years, the PAVE booth is a must-see for RetailX attendees in 2020. The booth will feature an array of creative concepts including mannequins, POP displays, and popup shops. Visitors to the PAVE booth (#3403) can expect to be met with innovation, imagination, and sheer talent from this year’s student designers.
