Extensive efforts to select fixtures and environmental features are seen throughout the design so that it blends perfectly with the megastore's cypress swamp theme. The attractive project lures the eye with its focus on sport fishing and hunting, same as the store's concept.
Details supporting a regional feel include buoys used as props on shelves, stickers applied to tackle boxes, wood-burned typography on barrels, locally-sourced graphics, and hand-assembled navigational graphics on fishing wire. Many of the props and fixtures were also painstakingly sourced at area flea markets. Further enhancing the theme are fixtures that were distressed to achieve the look of having been in a cypress swamp for ages. A polarized workshop with a lit, resin fish underneath water demonstrates polarized technology. Custom sunglass workshop encourages product experimentation.
