Thought leaders from IA Interior Architects will be sharing their expertise at seminars during NeoCon 2018.
Manuel Navarro, design director at IA Interior Architects in Austin, Texas, will join Tarkett on June 12 for Neoculture: Translating Modern Culture in Interior Design. The discussion, 11:30 a.m. to noon, focuses on Neoculture and its enormous impact on contemporary design.
The following day, Diggin’ the Gig Economy, features Mary Lee Duff, IIDA, LEED AP, principal and director of workplace strategy at IA Interiors, San Francisco, and Mary Clare Garrity, IIDA, LEED AP, senior workplace strategist at IA Interior Architects, Los Angeles. The seminar, from 8 to 9 a.m. on June 13, will present research and ideas on how a young generation is bringing new views on work, careers, and customized job pursuits and goals. The discussion will also address how companies need to hire and retain the best and brightest. Laying out this new economic landscape and how it will influence the use, design and finances of workspace, speakers will address pertinent, future-forward questions such as:
- Will a new workforce be less place based and more dispersed geographically?
- Does the Gig worker have a positive or negative impact on teaming and collaboration?
- How will companies accommodate a flexing workforce?
NeoCon 2018, June 11 to 13, will be celebrating 50 years at The Mart in Chicago. For more information, go here.
