Shop!, the global trade association dedicated to enhancing retail environments and experiences, has introduced a 50% discount on its professional MaRC certification to help marketing, design, and engineering students get a leg up as they enter the retail workforce.
MaRC certification, a globally recognized credential, enables individuals to build and demonstrate their knowledge of the research, design, build, execution, and evaluation of retail environments and in-store marketing materials.
“Through the certification process, candidates learn how their marketing, design, or engineering knowledge applies to the activities that drive shopper purchases at retail,” says Todd Dittman, executive director, Shop!. “On a resume, the MaRC certification can complement a degree, indicating that a student has demonstrated knowledge in both the broader major area of study and the specialized area of retail environments.”
There is no prerequisite for pursuing MaRC certification. To prepare for the certification exam, candidates must read the 2017 MaRC Exam Prep book, on which the exam is based. The book, roughly 340 pages in length and authored by more than 20 retail subject matter experts, details the best practices in retail environments.
