MERCHANDISING PRODUCT IN A WAY THAT CUSTOMERS WILL UNDERSTAND AND WEAR — as opposed to using strict category guidelines — enhances the customer experience and adds an appealing shopability aspect to the authentic tone of this popup store’s narrative.
A clearly delineated path brings visitors through the space, where elements such as styled mannequins and custom design pieces celebrate the brand’s industrial roots. Cross-merchandising the hand-picked, aspirational assortment suggest easy wardrobing.
Casually hanging merchandise in wood cubes exudes a sense of spontaneous ruggedness. Large-scale translucent graphics within the cubes allows visibility beyond the features, giving customers a sense of adventure that entices them to continue exploring. A peg board referencing a carpentry work space also allows for unique ways to display the product.
Other design features include graphic content highlighting the area’s strong blue collar and industrial culture. Materials such as raw woods and forged steel further promote the brand’s durability and strength of character. A full-service footwear wall showcases product that’s kept in the backroom.
