This design’s modern twist on the traditional stable combines tech and contemporary elements within an L-shaped footprint that features shop-in-shops. Trusses in the front part of the store create volume and emulate the look and feel of a stable. A dropped tin ceiling tiles in the back creates an intimate setting. Materials and textures — neutral in nature — evoke an overall fashion-forward equestrian lifestyle that appeals to both English and Western riders.
An interactive boot wall kicks off the customer journey and provides an opening statement that showcases the brand’s story. Picking up a boot activates the digital screen, which shows the features and performance benefits of the selected footwear, along with testimonials from equestrian athletes. A deconstructed sole also displays the boot’s technology.
Cross merchandising of apparel, footwear, and accessories is achieved through strong table presentations and active mannequin displays. Upholstered ottomans soften the look. Other features adding to the store’s unique character include:
- Red painted barn wood doors with leather pulls
- Sliding barn doors on footwear fixtures
- Blackened steel and reclaimed wood fixtures
- Hanging lighting
- Large-format graphics
- Found objects
- Woven textile wall covering
