Branded space spotlights cannabis lifestyle
Cannabis Now, a media outlet with a wide audience of cannabis enthusiasts, has announced the opening of a branded retail and wellness experience in Los Angeles April 19. The Cannabis Now experience is designed to extend the company’s mission of enlightening, educating, and immersing those well-versed in cannabis as well as those new to the cannabis lifestyle.
The Cannabis Now retail experience explores all elements of the cannabis, cannabinoid, and hemp plant through contemporary products, elevated tools, and stylish clothing. Cannabis Now’s 2,800-sq.-ft. retail space will be part curated retail and part educational experience, focusing on a rotating roster of wellness brands that operate store-in-store pop-ups to educate consumers about the benefits of their brands and products; from the visitor hoping to learn about the benefits of cannabis for the first time to the devout user looking for the latest innovation. The street-facing space on La Cienega Boulevard will welcome guests with calming plant life and luxury finishes that will evoke both the dynamic and healing properties of the cannabis plant.
Cannabis Now will design and curate the experience with retail consultant Louis Terline (co-founder of OAK), allowing customers to interact and learn at their own pace and comfort level with dedicated sections for wellness, beauty, lifestyle, objects, home, and fashion. Some of the retail partners slated for the launch include Lord Jones, Foria, Apothecanna, and Eaze Wellness, as well as Cannabis Now’s own new line of vaporizers and full spectrum hemp oil produced by G Pen. The store will not sell THC products.
The store-in-store pop-ups will be open for demonstrations and product launches with fully educated staff to guide consumers through each experience. Also, part of the environment will be a permanent aromatherapy installation by True Terpenes, which will have cannabis extracts available for scent “tasting.”

In addition to the retail expansion, Cannabis Now is launching the first SXSWTM Official hemp event, the two-day activation HEMP TODAY, on March 12 13 in Austin, Texas, US. HEMP TODAY attendees will enjoy panel discussions with professional athletes and leading industry experts, film screenings, live musical performances, interactive experiences, exclusive lounges, giveaways, charging stations, product launches, and terpene education.
Live performances in the evening will be headlined by Curren$y and Devin the Dude. The activation is open to the general public (ages 21 and up) from 1 p.m.–12 a.m. on March 12 and 12 p.m.–12 a.m. on March 13 as an official SXSW event at THE VENUE on Sixth Street. This event is not associated with the retail store.
The Cannabis Now retail store at the Beverly Connection is the flagship store in a plan to roll out more stores in the next two years in landmark locations. The expansion is part of Cannabis Now’s seed financing led by Tress Capital.
The Cannabis Now store will open April 19 to coincide with the annual cannabis celebration of 4/20. The store will be located at 8495-A W. Third St. in Los Angeles.
