Rather than showcasing its product lines in a run-of-the-mill catalog or website description, B+N Industries Inc. is going all out with B+N In Situ: Installation Inspirations. To be released in spring 2019, the 232-page compendium features stunning imagery of B+N’s System 1224, The Sorbetti System, and the Puck System installed across a wide range of environments.
“We created this extensive collection of imagery to show how our systems work in many different kinds of environments: not only retail, but also hospitality, residential, offices, and healthcare,” says Kevin McPhee, creative director, B+N Industries. “As designers, we look to all kinds of interiors and aesthetics across multiple sectors to gain inspiration, and it can all be translated into retail.”
The limited-edition publication, which will also be released in digital format, demonstrates the impressive versatility of the system, including customization options. Each installation inspiration is prefaced with an intriguing title, followed by expansive images and information on the application, followed by descriptions and pictures of “The Parts,” system components and furnishings utilized in the installation, and “The Mood,” featuring the colors, patterns, and materials selected.
Examples of retail environment installations featured in In Situ include:
- Light Lounge—A bar backed by a wall of System 1224 LED panels offers a glowing backdrop for tastefully arranged liquor bottles. Dimmable from daylight to twilight settings, the luminous surface contrasts with surrounding Matte Black panels and a beamed walnut ceiling.
- The Art of Motoring—The accessory shop in a Royal Enfield dealership blends the English motorcycle brand’s heritage with materials that reflect modern-day bike design. The Electified Puck System utilized in the installation “seamlessly incorporates merchandising and imagery.”
