Due to coronavirus/COVID-19 developments, retail technology fair EuroCIS is being moved to March 16 – 18, 2021. Originally planned for Feb. 23 – 25, 2021, EuroCIS will he held as a stand-alone event at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. This year, it was held as one of eight experience dimensions (Retail Technology dimension) at EuroShop 2020.
Show organizer Messe Düsseldorf postponed its own events in the first half of 2020 after EuroShop due to COVID-19. Some of these events will take place in the first half of 2021. Due to this tight schedule, EuroCIS 2021 will be held on the new date with a new hall layout and take place in halls 3 and 4.
Exhibitor registrations already submitted for EuroCIS 2021 will remain valid. Exhibitors can make a note of their placement requests in the online application, as a new layout is required. Exhibitors can still register online at eurocis.com/2330. The official registration deadline is still Sept. 25, 2020.
Energy Storage Europe 2021, International Trade Fair for Energy Systems, Solutions, Services, will be held in Hall 1 concurrently with EuroCIS 2021. This is also of interest to the retail sector, as it faces major challenges in this decade, which have been anchored in the German government’s climate protection program and legislation since the fourth quarter of 2019. At Energy Storage Europe, retailers can also obtain information about technical solutions, hardware and software suppliers, and funding opportunities for various energy storage systems.
At the last staging of EuroCIS in February 2019, 471 exhibitors from 29 countries showcased their innovations on 144,200 sq. ft. of net exhibition space to about 12,000 trade visitors from all five continents.
