Clever details create comfort for moms shopping with kids
Think kid-friendly can’t be chic? Think again.
With modern moms as its target market, this EVEREVE outpost is designed to be fun, easy, and welcoming for mothers and their kids alike. Rather than creating a stereotypical separate kids’ area filled with primary colors and plastic, the thoughtfully created space incorporates an unconventional area for children to safely play that actually adds to the trend-forward feminine design concept.
The brand’s mission statement, “To inspire every mom to embrace her beauty and power,” is reflected in every element of the space. The Evereve founder’s personal touches appear in messaging, inspirational reading, and favorite upholsteries throughout, contributing to an overall warm and approachable environment.
Varying textures and a unique pink-and-navy color palette make for a soft, modern, homelike aesthetic that’s safe and comfortable for kids of all ages. The storefront invites mom in with warm brick, large windows, layered displays, and “with HEART” messaging featured prominently on the floor.
From the entry to the fitting rooms, moments are created for inspired messages from the founder. Visual displays are anchored with residential area rugs, custom fixtures, and decorative lighting, creating modern style vignettes.
Finishes were selected to minimize cost while maximizing the impact of fashion stories. Tones of concrete, white brick, warm copper, and denim result in an approachable palette that is industrial yet feminine.
Flexible zones with experiential elements create a richer, deeper, more memorable experience for the Evereve customer and the first-time guest. These areas are identified for brand moments, fashion stories, styling, family, kids, and “Trendsend” personal styling.
The cashwrap area also serves as a library and linger zone. The library features the founder’s inspirational books, available to browse and purchase. Stools and pendant lighting near the library make it easy for friends and family to relax while mom is shopping.
The kid’s play area, the “Family Hub,” is located near the fitting rooms so mom can keep an eye on older kids while she works with a stylist. Fitting rooms are residential and inviting, showing mom in her best light while providing a safe environment for crawling toddlers.
Budget was a key consideration throughout the project. Every element in the design was very carefully considered for impact and value. Fixtures are designed with a tight budget while maintaining flexibility in telling brand stories.
