The U.S. Green Building Council has outlined a series of actions and priorities to support global efforts to recover from the pandemic and its effects. The organization wants to “leverage the power of our community to shape a healthier future for all.”
Among the immediate steps will be upgrades to the LEED v4.1 rating system as well as new LEED pilot credits to support social distancing and other needs. Guidance reports also will be issued to help project teams assist their occupants as they reenter their spaces.
Among the longer-term actions, USGBC will leverage the Human Experience performance certificate in the Arc platform and will continue improving the Better Materials platform.
