When Tarte Cosmetics secured the opportunity to make its debut in beauty chain ULTA, it knew it would have to create an in-store display aimed at turning heads. Competition is stiff among the brands ULTA carries, and success is not guaranteed.
To make its first impression in such a high-stakes environment an unforgettable one, Tarte turned to Shop! member Quad. The resulting display makes a pink-and-purple splash with die-cut shapes and strategic use of color and callouts — including a brand-specific hashtag — to highlight its top-selling items.
Taking up less than 3 sq. ft., the unit fits numerous items that can be updated at any time. Sleek cylindrical and rectangular figures protrude from the display in Tarte’s trademark purple and pink colors, inviting store goers to try new products. Multiple print and die-cut forms maximized equipment capabilities for size and efficiencies.
This unit helped elevate sales in ULTA stores for four weeks. ULTA also gave the brand highly positive feedback regarding the amount of display activity at the front of its stores, further evidence of the display’s effectiveness in ensuring a positive outcome for the pivotal moment in Tarte’s brand history.
