This immersive retail environment celebrates Boston’s local franchises, building on the teams’ values of grit, heart, heritage, and authenticity to strengthen their bonds with fans. More than a typical souvenir shop, it includes an enhanced women’s apparel section, a revamped lifestyle section, and the largest jersey wall ever seen. The space is flexible for merchandising Boston’s teams, hosting events and press conferences, and leveraging opportunities with brand partnerships and service offerings.
Fans can immerse themselves in the rich history of TD Garden, taking in images and highlight-reel footage of Garden legends. Restored Garden parquet flooring pay homage to where the Celtics won the 2008 NBA Championship.
The store features exposed ceilings, honed concrete floors, large fixtures made of rough-cut wood and welded steel, and AV displays and digital signage. A floor-to-ceiling jersey wall offers the largest selection of Bruins/Celtics jerseys in the city. A massive, circular T-shirt display serves as the store’s centerpiece. Each millwork fixture maximizes merchandise storage so that displays never run low and provides flexibility for associates to change the store quickly from Bruins to Celtics apparel.
A multilayered lighting scheme includes LED track lights and linear lighting with acoustic baffles for sound dampening. A floor-to-ceiling rotating jersey wall is backlit with RGBA linear LED grazers, programmed for each team’s home colors of gold and green, respectively, on appropriate game days. More than 40 ETC theatrical wash lights and 20 ETC moving heads are programmed to indicate milestone game updates like game time, half time, game wins, and in real time, when a goal is scored during Bruins games. Hat displays have integrated LED shelf lighting, mannequins stand atop LED backlit pedestal bases, and a 16-ft.-diameter ring of light encircles the T-shirt display.
