This evolution of Bassett’s home-centered concept is inspired by the brand’s craftsmanship and its original workshop in Bassett, Va., U.S. A portico welcomes customers, while the elegantly lit exterior draws them after dark. Live-edge maple door pulls and wooden signage crafted in the Basset factory on the entry doors evoke the brand’s craftsmanship before shoppers even step inside.
Just beyond the entry foyer, the central Great Room showcases best-selling, customizable casegoods, upholstered furniture, and decor. Flanking the Great Room are Style Rooms displaying collections by style and price point and the brand’s customizable Bench*Made collection. Each product is featured in its own custom-designed wall and fixture display, while the custom dining table display fixture includes a top with sections of sample edge details and finish options that can be positioned freely with various leg styles below.
Skylights flood the Design Studio with natural light, allowing customers to visualize materials and settings as they would at home during consultations with design associates. Computer workstations enable designers to finalize custom details and sales transactions with associates.
A neutral palette of off whites and pale gray, stamped concrete flooring in the foyer and entryway, and walnut-toned plank throughout the sales floor allow the furniture and decor to be the focal points.
